We’re Still Here

…and we’re fudging the numbers!

We just completed 7 days walking around the Dingle Peninsula in Ireland. We expected to have more internet service along the way, but we didn’t… to the tune of none. We were also surprised to find that 3 of the towns we stayed in didn’t have shops; and we don’t mean like, there’s no mega-grocer, or a small corner store… but not even a gas station where you could buy a bag of chips if necessary. There were hostels and B&Bs, and we obviously survived, it was just a little surprising. Regardless it was a FANTASTIC time – but we definitely have a backlog of postings to put up. So we’re working on it! 😀

In the meantime, I’ve fudged the numbers a bit. We stayed in the States for a week or so longer than originally anticipated. Our statistics sheet over on the left lists the country we’ve stayed in for the longest, along with the city we’ve stayed in for the longest time. We’ve just reset the counter to start as soon as we left the country. Sorry Aurora (longest city) but we thought it would be more interesting if that stat actually changed while we travelled.

That’s it for now. We’re currently in Tralee and tomorrow morning we hop a train for Dublin!

Wow, how many miles did you guys walk along the Dingle Peninsula? It looks pretty damp out, must have been nice for any chance to put on some dry clothes and socks.

It was about 80 miles in 7 days. Full write-up is coming, but suffice to say it was both amazing and an ass-kicking.

Ah, was wondering where you guys were at – hows the gear holding up? Wish there was anything that you left behind/wish that you brought?
